In cartoons, they put words and thoughts in 'balloons'. It's an apt image--we ALL live in 'sensory bubbles'. All our senses funnel info to the brain, where it is processed into a kind of 'movie' that we live in. We can't peer into the other bubbles, so you never *really* KNOW what the guy across the room is thinking, or see things the way he does. Hell, 'his' sky might look red to you. But he calls it blue. That's consensual reality. That's the basis of communication, of shared ideas and experiences.
Most all the Good Things and all the Bad that have happened in the history of the human species have been a result of Communication, or the Lack Thereof. People mis-communicating by accident happens far less often than we are led by our leaders to believe. They mis-communicate deliberately. Government as practiced currently in the US is the art of extracting money from the People with promises, taking huge (and some not-so huge) bribes from corporations for favors and lying through your teeth about it all.
And they do, vote for, and support some REALLY grim, spooky stuff.Wars that kill millions so Raytheon, Haliburton et al have a nice fiscal year. The 3 Biggest Fallacies about our government Are: 1) They Wouldn't Do That, 2) If they did No Way Could They Keep It Secret, and 3) The Press Would Tell Us...
Once you start digging...we haven't been The Good Guys for a long time. If we ever were. Starting with 1953 in Iran, the CIA and 'allied forces' have done some of most out\trageous skullduggery, murder and mayhem since Stalin. Or Hitler's Gestapo--who were recruited to run the Puzzle Palace via Operation Paperclip. Prescott Bush, founder of the Bush Crime Family, laundered money for the Nazis. Had his bank closed, assets seized and was accused of treason.
But try to tell somebody who is still...'brainwashed' and they look at you like your hair's on fire.

Roots

Roots

Trees got 'em. Holds 'em in the ground when the wind blows. Supply all the tree's needs except sun, air and water. We've got 'em too, though the current thought is that we should ignore our past, forget our embarassing heritage, and embrace some multicultural world where everybody is equal because we're all the same.

Diversity=Monoculture in some kind of weird 'doublethink', straight out Orwell's 1984. "War is Peace". Another good one. Only way we here in the good ol' USA can feel safe to sit home and watch our tvs is if we bomb the hell out of bunch of countries somewhere.

1984 was Orwell's nightmare. Brave New World was Huxley's dream. A drugged-up, desensitized populace loves their servitude. Or they are too distracted by clever entertainment, and brainwashed by the news media to even feel their chains.

We are encouraged, nay forced to examine ourselves. To divulge the inmost details of our lives to get a job or rent a house. I think we all wake up at 3 am and say, "Who the hell am I?" Or maybe 3 pm, as you watch whatever clock you have punched with your life, before quitting time finally arrives.

But make any moves toward finding where you *came from*, what your ancestors might think about your shabby little excuse for the freedom they fought and died for..you wind up on a list headed 'Domestic Terrorist Suspects'.

It's not fair. All the other guys get to be proud of who they are. I'm supposed to be ashamed to be 'White'? (I am actually a dark beige in person) My folk couldn't AFFORD slaves.

The Famous Four of the Abuse Cycle~Deny, Minimize, Justify, Blame

I've often said that the US taxpayer is the 'battered wife of an abusive hubby with a gambling problem'. My joke is coming back to haunt me. I recently read a bunch of stuff on the Abuse Cycle. The Abuser's Famous Four is illuminating: http://www.terrapsych.com/foursome.pdf
a different context, the resemblance to the US government's treatment of citizens is uncanny. Since New Year's Eve, when Obama signed the NDAA bill with provisions that basically repeal the Bill of Rights, the cycle was classic:
Deny~"The bill does not authorize indefinite detainment and killing of citizens on US soil."
Minimize~"Okay, it does authorize these, but the President will never use it."
Justify~"We are in a state of war with Terror until further notice.
Blame~"Al Qaeda and domestic terrorists hate our freedom and seek to destroy us ."
Apply this model to any and all of the Draconian measures passed by the Administration since: SOPA, CISPA, PIPA, HR 347...
The Federal Restricted Buildings and Grounds Improvement Act of 2011 or the “Trespass Bill” (HR 347 and its companion Senate bill, S. 1794) was signed into law by Obama on March 9, 2012. According to  Business Insider, this “potentially makes peaceable protest anywhere in the U.S. a federal felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.” Anyone can be charged with a federal felony for “trespassing” on property or grounds under Secret Service protection, even if the supposed “trespasser” is unaware that the area is under such protection. One can also be charged if he or she“impede(s)or disrupt(s) the orderly conduct of Government business or official functions.” Any place or event can, at any time and under any circumstance, be designated a “trespass” area and, anyone protesting any event can be arrested. Under NDAA, Section 1021, once arrested, a person can be detained indefinitely and extradited or killed outright if he or she is deemed a threat.
There is the recent Executive Order signed by Obama on March 16, 2012: National Defense Resource Preparedness (EO 8248). This order allows the executive branch – through various federal authorities such as the Secretaries of Energy, Health and Human Services, Transportation, Defense, and Commerce – to take control of all food, all energy, all health resources and all transportation resources in the service of “national defense,” even in times of declared peace. It is true that this executive order is merely an update to the one signed by Bill Clinton in 1994, just like Obama's reauthorization of The Patriot Act of 2001~which he said he would repeal when elected. Of course he claimed he was opposed to Section 1031 of the NDAA Bill. It later came out that the Administration 'insisted' on indefinite detention of citizens.
Eventually, the abuser always blames the victim. "Look what you made me do..." Focus is shifting from the chimeric al Qaeda to 'domestic terrorists', which the FBI is recruiting and setting up in farces that would never fly in a Hollywood script conference, much less real life.
So next time you hear a speech from the President, or any of the stooges in Congress, remember the Famous Four.
DEA Rights and Wrongs

A DEA Agent stopped at a ranch in Texas and talked to an old rancher. He told the rancher, "I need to inspect your ranch for illegally grown drugs." The rancher said, "Okay, but don't go into that field over there...", as he pointed out the location. The DEA Agent verbally exploded and said, "Look mister, I have the authority of the Federal Government with me!" Reaching into his rear back pocket, the arrogant officer removed his badge and proudly displayed it to the rancher. "See this badge?! This badge means I can go wherever I want... On any land! No questions asked, no answers given! Do you understand old man?!"
The rancher kindly nodded, apologized, and went about his chores. Moments later the rancher heard loud screams, he looked up and saw the DEA agent running for his life, being chased by the ranchers big Santa Gertrudis Bull...... With every step the bull was gaining ground on the officer, and it was likely that he'd sure enough get gored before he reached safety. The officer was clearly terrified. The old rancher threw down his tools, ran as fast as he could to the fence, and yelled at the top of his lungs......
"YOUR BADGE! SHOW HIM YOUR BADGE!"

We each live in our own little bubble, bounded by our perceptions and mindset. We are able to perceive only the tiniest slice of all the information out there in electromagnetic world. That is further limited by our pre-conceptions of the event. We can only perceive what we can concieve. An American naturalist and an Irish farmer are walking down the same path in the auld country. There is a rustle in the bushes. One sees a rabbit, the other a leprechaun. Which one is right?

We are further imprisoned by another simple, inescapable fact: no one can see things through our eyes, and vice versa. We are floating bubbles of consciousness, all alone in the night, trying to communicate with the other bubbles. All systems of symbology, all arts, all crafts are ultimately about communication. Whether it is a book, a poem, a painting or a play, all these things strive to reach across the void and share something, a common experience perhaps, or sharing something new.

These systems became increasingly complex after we dreamed up this thing called 'Civilization'. Far from making people more 'civil' it rather set them at each other's throats, as man's natural instincts for intrigue and treachery rose to the surface. Plots against kings have been around as there have been kings. The Icelandic Things were notoriously complex and crooked, requiring skilled lawyers to navigate through the obscufation, corruption and deceit.

Man is a tribal animal since before the days we hunted wooly mammoths together. A herd animal indeed, to judge from most of the planet nowadays. In our natural desire to reach out and communicate with others, we instinctively seek out and are drawn to people with similar bubbles. In the process, we create 'tribal bubbles'.

'Humans are tribal. We need an “us,” and those who are not us must be “them.” We form tribal bubbles, and we filter out information that doesn’t confirm our biases about others. We associate with people who look like we do, or think like we do, or believe what we believe. Most of us do this even when we are trying consciously not to.
It’s easy enough to maintain the illusion of “one world tribe” when you are sitting in a polite, politically correct office, sipping a latte with a cherry-picked collection of educated and carefully groomed people  from other groups.
In the land of calloused hands and cheap coffee, folks stick to their own kind. As a blue collar guy I can relate well enough to other groups. My pap worked on the railroad his whole life, and like him, when I punch the clock I have to learn to get along with whomever the boss hires, or work just gets a lot harder.
I have a lot of experience working with Mexicans. They’re funny, happy, hard working and easy to get along with. I’m not a Mexican. I’m not one of them. We can have a laugh over something universal, but they have different lifeways and for the most part they stick together. Sure, I could learn Spanish. I make tasty carnitas and I like drinking margaritas in the sun. But, like the man said, sticking a feather up your butt does not make you a chicken. I’ll always be a gringo.
I like being a gringo just fine. I feel more at home with white folks of my class and background than I do with people from other groups. Plenty of crackers are total assholes, but at least I know how to read them better.'
~Jack Donovan 'Mighty White'

Look at soap bubbles~some merge, others bounce off each other. It's not just a case of race, creed of religious persuasion. It's a matter of energy and chemistry, with a little geometry thrown in.

We are more than just bony bags of electrically-charged jelly. Every living thing creates a field of energy~this 'aura' is not something mystical or imaginary. It has been photographed, measured and otherwise quantified, though it is still poorly understood.

'The fields responsible for the development and maintenance of bodily form in plants and animals are called morphogenetic fields. In animals, the organization of behavior and mental activity depends on behavioral and mental fields. The organization of societies and cultures depends on social and cultural fields. All these kinds of organizing fields are morphic fields.
Morphic fields are located within and around the systems they organize. Like quantum fields, they work probabilistically. They restrict, or impose order upon, the inherent indeterminism of the systems under their influence. Thus, for example, a protein field organizes the way in which the chain of amino acids (the “primary structure” determined by the genes) coils and folds up to give the characteristic three-dimensional form of the protein, “choosing” from among many possible structures, all equally possible from an energetic point of view. Social fields coordinate the behavior of individuals within social groups, for example, the behavior of fish in schools or birds in flocks.
The mathematician RenĂ© Thom has created mathematical models of morphogenetic fields in which the endpoints toward which a system develops are defined as attractors. In the branch of mathematics known as dynamics, attractors represent the limits toward which dynamical systems are drawn. They provide a scientific way of thinking about ends, purposes, goals, or intentions. All morphic fields contain attractors.'
~Morphic Fields and Morphic Resonance, Rupert Sheldrake

Our various overlapping morphic fields comprise who we are, both as individuals, and as part of a larger tribe. The Soul and the Folk-Soul. We all vibrate at different rates on different levels, depending on time of day, heat and humidity, last meal and general mood, against the steady backbeat of the eath's 7.83 Herz. If you strike a note on a piano, the corresponding string on a harp in the same room will vibrate as if it had been plucked. That's resonance. Socially, this happens when we meet someone we instantly get along with, like you've known each other all your lives. Other people may take one look at you and hate your guts.

Hanging out with people of like bubbles energizes you, makes you feel good, alive. Being stuck with a bunch of dissonant bubbles is boring, draining and irritating. Naturally we seek out those company we enjoy. You have more fun and there's fewer fights.

Because we are bounded by yet another bubble~a biochemical one. Every life form on this planet exists within a tiny range of natural conditions~heat, light, air, water, food, in the right amounts and at the right temperature. For anything approaching what we could describe as 'health', a balanced diet of live, healthy food is essential. All these things contribute to a state of consciousness that is awake and aware. Also generally happy, all things considered. The current state of the Mass Mind is anything but any of this.

They are kept entranced by trivialities. Having been gradually robbed of any true Identity by the global corporate collectivists, they are given a freshly-minted new one~as a Packers fan, or wannabe American Idol. Your tribe has been replaced by the Kardashians, Oscar Night & the Grammys. There is another class of 'fans' who actually participate in the sport they have adopted as their own. Bass fishermen, hunters, even golfers fall into this category. Their tribe is at least based on actively DOING something, besides eating nachos and watching football~truly the 21st century bread and circuses. Poker players are the last of the hunter gatherer tribes~living by their wits and luck~in a word, hamingjar.

All this is misdirection, to keep you from seeing what the other hand is doing. The banksters are having a global 'fire sale'. At stake? The world. All of it, including the US of A, your life and the future of your children. Whether they are deliberately imploding the world's economy, or have simply lost control, the point is moot. It is only a matter of time before we have to live in very different ways than we have become accustomed to. We will have to rely on each other for more than pleasant company and a share of the beer tab.

That is IF we choose the path of resistance to tyranny. Collectively, our 'folk', our genotype suffer from a kind of 'soul sickness', characterized by a generail malaise, a lack of faith in ourselves, in the justice of our cause, indeed of our very right to exist. Once that was taken away, we began a trip down the slippery slope that leads to oblivion. That is the REAL 'graveyard of Empires'. There is no doubt we will be remembered.. But not, I fear as the Freedom Fighters we have always envisioned ourselves being, but as a bloody bootprint on the pages of history.

But it is not too late. Tides change, seasons change. There is an ebb and a flow to everything. And as Sir Isaac said so long ago: 'To every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction'. The brutal measures passed recently have turned the Constitution into toilet paper, and our freedoms into mere 'liberties', like a 3 day shore leave for a drunken sailor. And we have drunk our fill...not of liquor, or barley pop, but the blood of millions of innocents sacrificed on the altar of Greed and the endless wars we have fought to feed our 'habit'. But lo and behold...the Sleeping Giant stirs. Slowly climbing up out of the fever dream of the last century or so. And our global Masters are afraid. That fear makes them even more dangerous than before. But the chinks in their armor are becoming more and more evident, the lies and degradation at the rotten heart of the Great Society ever more evident.

Like cockroaches, they run from the light.

I've said all this before, but I think *I* need to hear it again:
These are exciting times we live in.
If you keep up with the real news, it's easy to get bogged down in a fearful, uneasy, angry mindset. There are at least 20 things that scare me absolutely to death, every morning when I wake up.
But you know what? These are times that people of future generations will look back on, read about, and wish they could have been part of, like Civil War and Revolutionary buffs and reenactors do nowadays.
Win or lose, the Second American Revolution is upon us. We are in the midst of making history.

My Part in the Financial Crisis
by Ric Snead
I am absolutely fascinated with the tale of intrigue, suspense, murder, looting and pillage that is the high finance world. Such characters~Paul 'the Vulture' Singer, George 'Puppet Master' Soros' the killer Koch brothers, and all their minions, especially the teleprompter reading stooge in the Oval Office, whomever he may be.
Oddly enough, I was a part of the Grand Scam near the beginning. In 2003, I was just-separated from the Countess, flat broke, living in a rat-infested dump. One day, taking a break from combing the place for enough change to get a pack of smokes, I went to the mailbox, and found a letter from GE Financial~which didn't really exist yet. Officially, they were created in 2004, but I digress. First words on the page were "YOU ARE PRE-APPROVED".
After a little dickering with the girl on the phone, it was agreed that I was pre-approved for $10,000. I of course asked no questions regarding why or how I was pre-approved for such a princely sum. I played it off with perfect aplomb. I actually did (and do) intend to open a business.
I didn't even have a bank account. She told me to go open one, and call her back. I borrowed a few bucks from somewhere and did so. She apologized for the inconvenience of having to make out two checks. Max they could transfer in a day was $5000. This was all totally unsecured, but of course my pre-approved status was due to the fact that I still had my name (and still do) on a mortgage. This eventually came back to bite the Countess in the ass, but I'm getting ahead of myself.
I went off to the wilds of Indiana to open a meadery~a winery devoted to making mead. And limped back precisely two years later, flat broke, tail between my legs, but with 30 gal of excellent mead onboard. Fast forward two years. I had the poor form to have a heart attack. Double bypass by one of the finest~thank you, Dr. Reames...I had insurance of all things. I worked for Compass Group, and was signed up with Cobra. Only as it turned out, they have some pretty persnickety rules. They sent me a form, that I had to deliver to the doctor/clinic to be filled in and sent back *within two weeks* by gods. Not 15 days. So I delivered their missive (this involved a bus trip) and pleaded with them to get it back on time. Guess what? They didn't. For awhile, I think the laughing kept me alive whenever I'd open a bill from the hospital for $498,000 and change.
Then...of course...I got another letter. "YOU ARE PRE-APPROVED". From Citi. (Hi guys. Long time no hear from...)This time, I only took $8000~they offered me $10k, but I *really* intended to do the thing, open the meadery and actually *pay it back*. More fool me. Wish I had that 2 grand now. Time and trouble~I'd been fired from my chef job after I had the heart attack (thanks guys! Love ya!) so I was out of work, broke, etcetcetc. Then I had the ill grace to almost die again. I almost died of a broken heart~now it was a bleeding ulcer. Lotta stress in the world of high finance. This trip was on the cuff~indigent insurance plan. But I was not in any shape to get a job, or build a winery, so the remainder of my finance capitol got spent on rent, beer and cigarettes.
We finally got a divorce that year~they were going to boot me out of the sliding scale clinic I was going to. Still, the matter of the house was never dealt with. I told her over and over that we needed to get my name off that piece of paper. I didn't know yet that it, along with about a million other dinky mortgages had been rolled up into a derivative shit sandwich and sold off at 40:1, but I had a bad feeling about it.
Sad to say, 5 years after the divorce, 9 years after the fiscal crimes were comitted, they're all off scot-free, and herSelf is on the hook for a $10 k lien on the house I left her and young Ms. Spawn.
Nowadays I can't even open a bank account without paying them $10 a month for the privelege. But I was there at the beginning, and it was one helluva ride.
